August's Quote

At the start of each month I pick a quote that applies to what I'm experiencing or focusing on at the time. You're more than welcome to join me on your own blog. If you do, please leave a link to your post so I can see the quote you choose!

"I want to cultivate a deep sense of gratitude, of groundedness, of enough, even while I'm longing for something more."
-Shauna Niequest

I've been reading Shauna's delightful book Savor over the past month and have been so blessed by her thoughts and perspective. This quote (which is from her book Bread and Wine) sums up pretty well how I feel about this last month of summer at home.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. I'm just stepping out of the lurking woodwork to say how inspiring I think you blog is. I'm a very fledgling blogger, and have only been knitting for a few years, and Im loving how your love for both spines through your pictures and words.

  2. Love this and it's so true. Having dreams is great and necessary but the real challenge is being and staying grateful for what you already have and seeing that it is enough.
