February's Quote

At the start of each month I pick a quote that applies to what I'm experiencing or focusing on at the time. You're more than welcome to join me on your own blog. If you do, please leave a link to your post so I can see the quote you choose!

"as the years pass, I am coming more and more to understand that it is the common, everyday blessings of our common everyday lives for which we should be particularly grateful. They are the things that fill our lives with comfort and our hearts with gladness- just the pure air to breathe and the strength to breath it; just warmth and shelter and home folks; just plain food that gives us strength; the bright sunshine on a cold day; and a cool breeze when the day is warm."
-Laura Ingalls Wilder

a few days late, but we don't have internet yet in our new apartment. Speaking of the new apartment...here's the first photo of it for the blog :) It's amazing how fresh flowers can transform a space and instantly make it feel more like home- and tulips are my very favorite. Hope you're all having a great start to this shortest month.

  1. Love the quote and it's so true - we really don't take enough time to appreciate the everyday things! Actually I love everything about Laura Ingalls Wilder, I have a quote of hers similar to this on my living room wall. This reminds me I need to read the Little House Books again. I always try to convince people to read them.

    1. oh I haven't read those since I was a little girl! My grandma slowly purchased the entire series for me over the course of several years and I would devour them each time I was given a new one. I'm sure my mom kept them and they're lying around in some shelf or other in my parents basement. I should add them to my list to be re-read!
