here and there

just stopping in to share another round up of some of the amazing things happening in the fiber community. Here's what I've been loving recently:

this hat from Alicia Plummer is the perfect hat for Fall. Everything about it just makes me want to walk through piles of leaves, go apple picking and pumpkin flavor everything.

this announcement from Karen about Slow Fashion October has me super excited for the coming month. Last October was the official launch of my #wearhandmadeproject so I was already planning to focus a little on this topic in the coming months. Being able to do so with the wider Fiber community has me over-the-moon excited. Be sure to check this out- you won't want to miss it!

this cardigan is...well, dreamy. I've never ever seen a crochet garment that I was tempted to make, but this one has me eating my words. Gorgeous!

this blog is the new blog from knitwear designer Andrea Mowry. Her designs are lovely and though I've only knit one (Kingsley) I'm dying to cast on several of them (Chevy and Hygge for example...) I was excited to see that she had started blogging as well.

this yarn has me dreaming of Fall projects. Actually Anna's entire shop is beautiful and very autumnal.

this collaboration has me very curious. I'm not entirely sure what to expect, but with both of these ladies involved, it really can't go wrong...

this podcast is fascinating. I can't believe I only recently found out about it. I've been going through the archives and so far every episode I've listened to has been great.

this fiber studio in Florida is doing some pretty amazing things. Just looking at their website makes me wish I lived close by so I could drop in an explore in person all they have to offer.

PS: that yarn in the yarn bowl in the above photo was spun by New York based Fiber Artist Sajata-E, who Waldi met this summer while in the city. She was generous enough to send some of her hand spun yarns with him for me to try! You can find out more about her work here and purchase her yarns here.
