For the past week, my mom has been here, visiting all the way from Canada! It's been a great week to take some time off, enjoy summer in this city, and spend time with her. We've mostly been taking walks, enjoying delicious summer food (like my favorite homemade lemonade that I plan to share next week), reading and doing crosswords. We've also found time to start some new projects of course. I learned to knit surrounded by my mom. It's something we always do when we're together.
Looking forward to this weekend- we have a festival here in Marburg. I'm planning to eat some Baum Kuchen and catch the firework show from my living room window.
